What food should NOT be placed in the garbage disposal?
The unit is designed for soft organic waste, not all types of debris.
Avoid:
- Large bones
- Hard shells (coconut, pineapple)
- Fibrous foods (celery, corn husks, leek)
- Grease and oils
- Dough, flour, or large amounts of rice
- Non-organic objects (plastic, metal, glass)
✔ Recommended:
- Soft food scraps
- Small peels
- Light organic waste
👉 Simple rule: if it’s hard, fibrous, or greasy, don’t put it in the disposal.
