What food should NOT be placed in the garbage disposal?

The unit is designed for soft organic waste, not all types of debris.

Avoid:

  • Large bones
  • Hard shells (coconut, pineapple)
  • Fibrous foods (celery, corn husks, leek)
  • Grease and oils
  • Dough, flour, or large amounts of rice
  • Non-organic objects (plastic, metal, glass)

✔ Recommended:

  • Soft food scraps
  • Small peels
  • Light organic waste

👉 Simple rule: if it’s hard, fibrous, or greasy, don’t put it in the disposal.
